The Ministry of Oil confirmed that the next stage will witness an upward growth in gas investment.
The Undersecretary for Gas Affairs, Izzat Saber Ismail, said during his visit to the North Gas Company in Kirkuk: “The ministry has plans to maximize national production and increase the investment of gas associated with oil operations during the next phase, through development projects, and the fifth and sixth licensing rounds that the ministry recently announced.”
He added, “The government program emphasized the importance of increasing gas investment projects in a number of border provinces and locations.”
Ismail referred to the interest of the leadership of the oil sector in developing the company and increasing gas investment projects during the next stage after announcing the fifth and sixth licensing rounds. The North Gas Company will increase its production after developing a number of hydrocarbon sites and structures with gaseous structures, in addition to gas investment associated in a number of oil fields.
