Kuwait city: First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah remarked on Friday, during the 35th anniversary of the Iraqi invasion, that August 2 stands as a pivotal historical moment in the nation's journey. According to Kuwait News Agency, Sheikh Fahad emphasized that the occasion showcased the world the remarkable solidarity of Kuwaitis and their unwavering support for legitimate leadership, highlighting their conviction that unity can overcome formidable challenges. In a related statement, Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr. Subaih Al-Mukhaizeem acknowledged the Kuwaiti people's exemplary steadfastness and sacrifice in defending their homeland and its legitimacy during the Iraqi invasion. Marking the somber anniversary, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohammad Al-Wasmi praised the Kuwaiti people's determination to liberate their country and uphold legitimacy in the face of the Iraqi occupation. Minister of Justice Counselor Nasser Al-Sumai t lauded the strong national cohesion between the Kuwaiti people and their leadership during that period, which he described as a noble example of steadfastness and perseverance in the pursuit of justice.
