Minister of Information Reviews Preparations for Kuwait International Book Fair

Kuwait city: Minister of Information and Culture, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi discussed the preparations for the 48th session of the Kuwait International Book Fair. The event is scheduled to take place from November 19 to 29, under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the minister led the first meeting of the fair's organizing committee to assess the readiness of this significant cultural event. The discussion aimed to reflect Kuwait's esteemed cultural status and ensure alignment with advancements in knowledge and information technology.

The meeting unveiled plans and ideas for the fair's associated program, aimed at enriching the event with diverse activities tailored to audience interests. Key focal points included media and marketing strategies, alongside pertinent financial and administrative preparations.

This year's fair will honor the Sultanate of Oman as the guest of honor, featuring a variety of activities to commemorate Kuwait's designation as the Arab Capital of Culture and Media for 2025. The gathering included notable attendees such as Secretary General of Kuwait National Center for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) Mohammad Al-Jassar, and assistant undersecretary for the TV sector Turki Al-Mutairi, among others.
