Minister of Defense Emphasizes Commitment to Armed Forces’ Readiness

Kuwait city: Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah emphasized on Monday the political leadership's commitment to supporting the armed forces, enhancing their efficiency, and bolstering their readiness to face challenges.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the General Staff of the Army revealed in a press release that this was highlighted during the Minister's visit to Mohammad Al-Ahmad Naval Base, where he was accompanied by Chief of the General Staff of the Army Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraiaan. The Minister expressed pride in the efforts and dedication of the naval force personnel in fulfilling their national duties.

The statement detailed that the visit commenced with a briefing on the naval force's duties, work mechanisms, combat readiness, and its role in protecting territorial waters, securing maritime borders, and safeguarding vital facilities. Additionally, the visit included a sea tour aboard the vessel Al-Istiqlal, where the Minister observed a live ammunition field exercise, showcasing the naval personnel's training and professionalism.

The statement also noted that the Minister was received by Commander of the Naval Force Rear Admiral Saif Al-Hamlan and several senior officers upon his arrival.
