Kuwait city: Minister of Public Works Dr. Nora Al-Mashaan affirmed the political leadership's commitment to closely following all details related to major national development projects and accelerating executive procedures undertaken by ministries and concerned authorities in cooperation with international government counterparts. She emphasized the necessity of expediting these initiatives to achieve timely progress and ensure alignment with national goals.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Dr. Al-Mashaan made these remarks following a meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Monitoring Major Projects. During the meeting, discussions reviewed updates on significant projects such as the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port, cooperation in electrical systems, renewable-energy development, and the establishment of a low-carbon green framework for national waste-recycling initiatives.
Dr. Al-Mashaan also noted that the committee examined cooperation in housing development, enhancements to environmental infrastructure for wastewater-treatment facilities, expansion of free and economic zones, and comprehensive national efforts to combat various forms of desertification across the country.
Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs and committee member Samih Johar Hayat provided detailed follow-up reports from senior officials across all relevant ministries and state institutions tasked with implementing these major developmental initiatives. He clarified that the committee is continuously coordinating with partner governments regarding implementation procedures for bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding. This ensures thorough follow-up on assigned recommendations and fosters enhanced coordination among members to accelerate progress across nationwide strategic projects.
