Kuwait city: Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila emphasized the importance of localizing charitable work within Kuwait, aligning with the directives of the political leadership. This announcement was made during her remarks to KUNA, while she attended and sponsored the signing of two significant agreements between the Ministry of Social Affairs and the International Islamic Charity Organization (IICO) and Namaa Charity of the Social Reform Society.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the first agreement focuses on rehabilitating and maintaining social care homes to ensure their operational readiness. The second agreement with Namaa Charity aims to develop and modernize the physiotherapy department at Farah Specialized Center. Dr. Al-Huwaila stated that these agreements align with the Ministry's vision to enhance the sustainability of charitable work as part of its comprehensive strategic plan.
Dr. Al-Huwaila urged charitable organizations to channel their efforts toward development initiatives that benefit the nation and its citizens, thereby supporting social and economic stability. Undersecretary Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi reiterated the Ministry's commitment to localizing charitable work, emphasizing its importance as a national priority. He highlighted that the start of the year is an ideal time to commence a new phase of organized charitable work, guided by a clear vision.
Engineer Jamal Al-Nouri, Chairman of the Board of the International Islamic Charity Organization, expressed pride in the newly signed agreement. He described it as a practical model of responsible partnerships that prioritize the welfare of people. Al-Nouri highlighted the shared vision between the Ministry, IICO, and Namaa Charity to enhance social program efficiency and achieve meaningful humanitarian impact.
Saad Al-Otaibi, CEO of Namaa Charity, affirmed the organization's commitment to localizing charitable work and building effective partnerships with government and civil institutions. He emphasized the aim of the agreements to develop work mechanisms, improve service quality, and ensure a dignified environment for beneficiaries, reflecting a national approach focused on investing in people and achieving social stability.
