Baghdad: Attacks by Israeli occupation forces against Iran present a "direct" threat to the stability and security of Iraq and the broader Middle East, Prime Minister Mohammed Al-Sudani stated on Sunday. The escalating situation poses significant risks to the fragile peace in the region.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Iraqi prime minister expressed his concerns during a meeting with Thomas Seiler, the European Union's ambassador to Baghdad. Al-Sudani criticized the Israeli "aggression" for undermining diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving the Middle East conflict, emphasizing the urgent need for international intervention.
The prime minister's office released a statement labeling these actions as "grave violations" of international laws and principles. Al-Sudani called upon the global community to take decisive action to halt such acts of aggression, which threaten the collective stability of the region.
