Meteorological Department Predicts Dusty Winds and Cold Nights for Kuwait Through Weekend

Kuwait city: Acting Director of the Meteorology Department, Dhirar Al-Ali, announced that Kuwait will experience dust-raising winds from Friday evening until Saturday morning, with the possibility of scattered rain.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Ali elaborated that the weather changes are due to a weakening surface high-pressure system, allowing a cold air mass to move in. This will cause the south-east winds to shift to north-west, becoming active and dusty at times.

The weekend weather is projected to be moderate during the day, with temperatures dropping to cold or very cold levels at night. There is a possibility of frost in agricultural and desert areas. Al-Ali noted that Friday night will witness stronger winds and reduced visibility due to dust, along with possible rain over northern areas. Saturday is expected to remain partly cloudy with continued chances of light rain and dust in open areas.
