Media: Death tally from floods east of Spain up 63

Official Spanish media said on Wednesday that the death tally from the floods that hit eastern Spain jumped to 63 individuals with scores still missing.

The source indicated that the deaths were registered in Valencia and Castile-La Mancha provinces, noting that 1,000 Spanish troops were deployed in affected areas to manage the situation and help those stuck in the wreckage caused by the natural disaster.

Spain’s State Meteorological Agency indicated that the state of emergency would continue in most Spanish regions due to the heavy rainfall with expected floods later occurring.
