Minister of International Cooperation Rania el-Mashat reviewed Thursday 17/8/2023 development cooperation efforts towards boosting just climate financing, under Egypt’s presidency of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP27).
The minister highlighted the initiatives that have been adopted to stimulate climate investments in developing countries and emerging economies topped by launching Sharm el Sheikh Guidebook for Just Finance and the National Green Projects Platform “NWFE” program, which seeks to develop a mechanism aimed at promoting state’s green development projects in the water, food and energy sectors.
Mashat made the remarks during her participation in a set of preparatory events organized by the UAE, ahead of the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference (COP28).
The minister held one-on-one meetings with development partners and bodies concerned, alongside addressing a session on inclusive financing.
