Male: President of the Maldives Mohammad Moaz and Acting Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) Waleed Al-Bahar engaged in discussions aimed at strengthening collaboration and reviewing joint projects to support sustainable development efforts in the Maldives. According to Kuwait News Agency, during the meeting in Male, President Moaz expressed gratitude and appreciation to Kuwait, highlighting the fund's significant role since their cooperation began in 1976. The fund has contributed to key projects, including the establishment of the Maldives' airport in Male, as well as supporting hospitals and drinking water initiatives. The meeting coincided with the Maldives' independence day celebrations and the inauguration of the KFAED-funded airport expansion project in the capital.
