Cairo: Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stated on Sunday that the Israeli occupying entity must be expelled from the United Nations due to its ongoing actions in the Gaza Strip, including committing genocide and blocking humanitarian aid for Palestinians. Ibrahim made these remarks during a joint press conference with Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi after bilateral discussions in Cairo. According to Kuwait News Agency, Ibrahim emphasized that if a country fails to adhere to UN and Security Council resolutions, expulsion from the international organization becomes the only viable course of action. He acknowledged the complexity of the regional situation and highlighted the urgent need for a ceasefire and the establishment of peace. President Al-Sisi echoed Ibrahim's sentiments, asserting that the two-state solution is the only viable path to resolving the Middle East crises. He highlighted the consensus between Egypt and Malaysia on the necessity of finding solutions to regional conflicts to res tore stability. During the discussions, President Al-Sisi and Prime Minister Ibrahim explored efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza and facilitate the delivery of aid to the area. They also deliberated on bilateral cooperation to address conflicts in Sudan, Libya, Syria, and Lebanon. Ibrahim's visit to Egypt marks the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and Egypt, underscoring the significance of their ongoing partnership.
