Malaysia, Indonesia Begin Kekar Malindo Drills to Boost Defense Ties

Kuala lumpur: Malaysia and Indonesia on Monday began the 10-day "Kekar Malindo" drills at Pakit Camp in Sarawak, East Malaysia. The exercise involves Malaysia's 13th Battalion of the 3rd Brigade and Indonesia's Infantry Battalion 641 (19th "Khatulistiwa" Brigade).

According to Kuwait News Agency, the drills include classroom sessions, joint training, and field exercises aimed at building skills and sharing experience between the two nations' military forces. This annual exercise, held since the 1970s, alternates between both countries to enhance border security and improve coordination in training and humanitarian missions.
