Mosul: An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale jolted Mosul city in Iraq's Nineveh Governorate, as reported by Iraq's Meteorological Organization and Seismology on Sunday. The quake occurred 40 kilometers northeast of Mosul, causing no casualties. According to Kuwait News Agency, a previous seismic event took place a week ago in the Dahok Governorate near the Turkish border. The organization also noted that there have been 20 other earthquakes inside Iraq throughout October.
