Lebanon on Right Track to Restore Confidence, Attract Investments

Beirut: Lebanese President Joseph Aoun expressed optimism about Lebanon's future, stating that the country is on the path to restoring trust and attracting investments. During a meeting with representatives of the Lebanese-Kuwaiti Businessmen Council, he highlighted the government's efforts to address corruption issues and emphasized the importance of this initiative in boosting economic collaboration between Lebanon and Kuwait.

According to Kuwait News Agency, President Aoun discussed the positive impact of recent government measures aimed at combating corruption, which are designed to attract businesspersons and investments. He pointed out that these efforts have generated positive indicators internationally, which Lebanon intends to leverage to attract further investments.

The president also noted significant economic reforms undertaken by the Lebanese government, including the appointment of a new governor for the Central Bank of Lebanon and engaging in talks with the International Monetary Fund. These steps are part of a broader strategy to restore citizens' confidence in the country's economic stability.

Reflecting on his recent visit to Kuwait in May, Aoun described it as constructive, underscoring the importance of bilateral meetings such as Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah's visit to Lebanon, which focused on enhancing collaboration between the two nations.

Additionally, Saqqal, head of the Lebanese-Kuwaiti Businessmen Council delegation, reiterated the council's commitment to strengthening economic ties, promoting tourism, and attracting investments between Lebanon and Kuwait.
