Beirut: The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli occupation's overnight airstrikes on southern Lebanon, which killed one person and injured seven others.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the ministry denounced the recent airstrikes as an aggression that breaks United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 1701 and relevant ceasefire agreements that were reached in November. It emphasized that these actions hinder the efforts of the Lebanese army to implement its disarmament plan and maintain security and stability in the southern region.
Earlier in the day, Lebanon's Public Health Ministry reported that the airstrike resulted in one fatality and left seven others wounded. The incident has sparked heightened tensions in the region, prompting calls for international intervention to prevent further escalations.
