Kuwait City: The relations between Kuwait and Lebanon could be described as historic and deeply rooted with the two countries seeking to bolster ties during the upcoming visit by President Joseph Aoun, said a Lebanese diplomat on Sunday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Charge D'affaires at the Lebanese Embassy in Kuwait, Ahmad Arafa, emphasized that President Aoun's upcoming visit to Kuwait would further enhance the bilateral relations. Arafa noted that the visit, initiated by an invitation from the Kuwaiti leadership, symbolizes the strong cooperation between the two nations.
The visit offers a significant opportunity to strengthen ties and exchange views on important regional and international issues, Arafa affirmed. He highlighted that this would be President Aoun's first visit to Kuwait, expressing hope that it would contribute positively to the enduring legacy of Kuwaiti-Lebanese relations.
Arafa also praised Kuwait for its supportive stance during the recent Israeli occupation aggression on Lebanon. He specifically commended His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for promptly dispatching relief aid and humanitarian assistance to Lebanon.
