Lebanese Civil Defense Concludes Tripoli Building Collapse Operations

Tripoli: Director General of the Lebanese Civil Defense, Imad Khreish, announced Monday the conclusion of search and rescue operations at the site of the building collapse that occurred on Sunday in Tripoli's Bab al-Tebbaneh, northern Lebanon.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Khreish reported in a press statement that the final toll from the incident stood at 14 deaths, while 8 individuals were successfully rescued from the debris.

The Lebanese Civil Defense had previously detailed that the collapsed structure was a residential building with two sections, each comprising six floors, which led to numerous people being trapped under the rubble.

This tragedy marks the second building collapse in Tripoli within a month, following a similar incident on January 24 in the Qubba area, which resulted in the loss of two lives.
