Leading Kuwaiti Judge Stresses Commitment to Strengthen Ties with Arab Courts

Abu Dhabi: Member of the Kuwaiti Constitutional Court Judge Abdulrahman Aldarmi on Wednesday affirmed keenness on beefing up cooperation with Arab tribunals and constitutional councils. Justice Aldarmi, addressing a session of the Union of Arab Constitutional Courts and Councils, held in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, affirmed that the State of Kuwait spares no effort for attaining the union objectives, such as boosting the constitutional norms, exchanging expertise and knowledge among the member states.

According to Kuwait News Agency, supervision by the constitutional courts and boards ensures for certain the constitutional legitimacy, he said. Aldarmi praised the union chairperson's congratulations to the State of Kuwait on the national celebrations. The Kuwaiti delegation partaking in the session includes member of the Constitutional Court judge Ibrahim Alsaif and the director of the Constitutional Court Clerks, Issa Albisher.

The conferees are scheduled to discuss judicial issues and means of safeguarding Arab citizens' rights and liberties.
