Leaders of Egypt, France, Jordan Discuss Gaza Ceasefire with US President

Cairo: Leaders of Egypt, France, and Jordan on Monday discussed, via a joint phone call, with the US counterpart ways of committing to a ceasefire in Gaza as soon as possible.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Egypt's Presidential spokesperson Mohammad Al-Shenawy stated that the call included discussions during a joint conversation between Egyptian President Abul Fatah Al-Sisi, French President Emmanuel Macron, Jordanian King Abdullah II, and US President Donald Trump as part of the tripartite summit in Cairo.

Al-Shenawy mentioned that the discussion with President Trump focused on ways of ensuring a ceasefire in Gaza. They also highlighted the importance of delivering aid to facilitate urgently needed humanitarian support and the immediate release of those apprehended.

The leaders also addressed the necessity for a swift and rapid solution to achieve peace in Ukraine, in line with international law, and emphasized the need for international security and stability.
