Beirut: A coordination meeting was held this morning at the office of Minister of Labor Dr. Mohammad Haidar, bringing together the Ministries of Labor and Public Health with the National Social Security Fund (NSSF).
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting was attended by Minister Haidar, Minister of Public Health Dr. Rakan Nassereddine, NSSF Director General Dr. Mohammad Karaki, Acting Director General of the Ministry of Labor Marlene Atallah, and senior officials in charge of health and medical affairs.
Discussions focused on strengthening coordination between the Ministry of Health and the NSSF, particularly regarding the review of medical billing schedules and ensuring access to essential medical supplies for both insured individuals and patients covered by the ministry.
The meeting also addressed the need to bolster public hospitals, while proposing solutions to resolve financial and subscription-related disputes between these institutions and the NSSF to ensure proper dues are paid and rights upheld.
