Kuwait’s Salwa Al-Sabah Triumphs Over Lebanon’s Al-Qalamoun in West Asian Volleyball Championship

Kuwait city: Kuwait's Salwa Al-Sabah Club emerged victorious against Lebanon's Al-Qalamoun Club with a straight-set win (3-0) in the ongoing West Asian Women's Volleyball Championship, hosted in Kuwait.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Kuwaiti team secured their win with set scores of 25-23, 25-22, and 25-16. The competition also saw Palestine's Al-Quds triumphing over Yemen's Al-Nasr in three sets, posting scores of 25-12, 25-8, and 25-7. Additionally, Al-Arabi of Qatar defeated Qatar SC with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-22, and 25-17. Meanwhile, Iraq's Sanharib outplayed Saudi Arabia's Al-Fayha with a 5-0 scoreline, recording set scores of 19-25, 25-10, 25-17, 16-25, and 15-8.

The tournament is held under the patronage of Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi. The championship features twelve clubs, including Kuwait's Salwa Al-Sabah and Al-Fatah, Qatar's Qatar and Al-Arabi, Saudi Arabia's Al-Ula and Al-Fayha, the UAE's Sharjah, Jordan's Al-Nasr, Palestine's Al-Quds, Yemen's Al-Nasr, Lebanon's Al-Qalamoun, and Iraq's Sanharib. The championship will continue until December 13.
