Kuwait’s Non-Oil Exports Surge in First Half of 2025

Kuwait city: Kuwait's non-oil exports reached KD 1.59 billion (USD 5.17 billion) in the first half of 2025, commerce and industry ministry data showed.

According to Kuwait News Agency, this significant economic development reflects an upward trend in the country's export activities beyond its oil sector, highlighting efforts to diversify the national economy.

In London, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya, engaged with Heads of Kuwait's offices accredited to the UK. This meeting underlines Kuwait's ongoing diplomatic initiatives and international collaboration, particularly with the United Kingdom.

Furthermore, His Highness the Crown Prince also met with a number of Kuwaiti students studying in the UK. This interaction emphasizes Kuwait's investment in education and its interest in the academic progress of its citizens abroad, fostering future leaders and professionals.

In a humanitarian effort, the Kuwaiti based NAMAA Charity Society announced a project to distribute food baskets to displaced persons in northern Gaza. This initiative, conducted in cooperation with partners approved by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, highlights Kuwait's commitment to addressing humanitarian needs in conflict-affected regions.

Additionally, the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Sport (PAS) convened for a meeting chaired by Minister of Information, Culture, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi. This meeting underscores ongoing efforts to enhance sports infrastructure and youth programs in Kuwait.
