Kuwait City: The State of Kuwait is recognized for its pioneering approach to special needs care, supported by a robust legislative framework that addresses this critical segment of society. Law 8/2010, which focuses on the rights of individuals with special needs, serves as a national legislative cornerstone, ensuring various services and guarantees across education, health, work, and social care sectors. According to Kuwait News Agency, Kuwait has empowered individuals with special needs through policies aligned with international human rights laws. Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, noted that Kuwait would observe WHO's International Day of Persons with Disabilities under the theme "Amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future." Dr. Al-Huwailah highlighted the achievements of the Public Authority for Disability Affairs (PADA) this year, emphasizing Kuwait's commitment to supporting individuals with special ne eds. PADA serves 68,000 beneficiaries and actively collaborates with national organizations and government institutions to improve conditions for this sector of society. The authority has updated the "Kuwait code" to enhance the urban environment for individuals with special needs, aiming for better public services and utilities. Dr. Al-Huwailah also mentioned the sixth 2024-25 session of the "partners for their employment" initiative, which has benefited 123 members. This initiative aims to facilitate the employment of individuals with special needs, enabling their entry into the job market.
