Riyadh: President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) Dr. Mohammad Bakleh has highlighted Kuwait's aid to Syria as a testament to its profound commitment to humanitarian values and its dedication to crisis management.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Dr. Bakleh voiced his appreciation during a conversation with Chairman of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), Ambassador Khaled Al-Maqamis, at the Fourth Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum. He acknowledged the efforts of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in extending various forms of humanitarian aid to Syria.
Dr. Bakleh expressed gratitude for the KRCS's continuous support to the Syrian people through relief, medical, and development assistance. He mentioned past collaborations where SARC facilitated the distribution of Kuwaiti food aid to Syrian bakeries, as well as wheelchairs and ambulances to the Syrian Ministry of Health.
Ambassador Al-Maqamis highlighted that Kuwait's aid to Syria has reached a significant volume of 727 tons under the "Kuwait by Your Side" campaign. He reiterated Kuwait's unwavering commitment to providing humanitarian and relief assistance to Syria, emphasizing ongoing coordination with SARC to ensure essential supplies are delivered through the Kuwaiti air bridge.
Al-Maqamis also noted Kuwait's substantial contributions to global humanitarian efforts, affirming its steadfast support for those in need around the world.
