Kuwait city: Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi on Sunday released the executive regulations of the medical insurance law for expatriates, the Ministry of Health (MoH) said in a statement. According to Kuwait News Agency, the issuance of the executive bylaw coincided with the enactment of executive regulations for the foreigner's residency law, issued by the Ministry of Interior. These regulations include modifications and substantial additions, which are due to be effective as of December 23. Dr. Hisham Kelendar, the assistant undersecretary for external health services, stated that the move laid the basis for an integrated and sustainable medical system, forecast to yield KD 200 million per year. The expatriate's medical record, according to the regulations, will be linked to his or her residency.
