Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister to Meet Egyptian President Sun

Cairo: Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah will meet Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi on Sunday at the start of his two-day official visit to Cairo.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef's visit to Cairo is part of a three-leg regional tour that also includes the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Sultanate of Oman.

In statements made to KUNA upon the arrival of Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef and his accompanying delegation at Cairo International Airport, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Egypt Ghanim Al-Ghanim detailed that the Deputy Prime Minister will hold meetings with Egyptian ministers of interior and defense, in addition to other officials. The discussions will focus on enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the security and military areas.

Ambassador Al-Ghanim emphasized that the visit falls within the framework of the close fraternal and historical relations between Kuwait and Egypt. He noted the distinguished relationship and coordination between the two countries and highlighted their mutual commitment to strengthening historical ties.

Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef's first official visit to Egypt occurred last June, where he met with Minister of Interior Major General Mahmoud Tawfik and Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Mohamad Zaki. During that visit, discussions centered on enhancing coordination and cooperation in security and military sectors.
