New york: Kuwait's Amir Representative His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah emphasized Kuwait's support for the United Nations' role. During his visit, he extended congratulations to Annalena Baerbock, the newly appointed President of the United Nations General Assembly, expressing hope for her success in her responsibilities.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the State of Kuwait also expressed approval of the recent decisions by the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada to formally recognize the State of Palestine. Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated this development aligns with Kuwait's foreign policy and reflects the nation's commitment to supporting Palestinian sovereignty.
In a related statement from Cairo, Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmad AbulGheit also welcomed the recognition of Palestine by the aforementioned countries, highlighting a positive move towards peace and stability in the region.
Further strengthening regional cooperation, the Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping, and Peacebuilding. This agreement aims to bolster cooperation in regional security and enhance diplomatic capabilities.
