Kuwait’s Defense Official Affirms Strength of Kuwaiti-Emirati Military Relations

Dubai: Undersecretary of Kuwait's Ministry of Defense Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Meshal Al-Sabah underlined the depth and strength of Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates' military relations during his participation in the opening ceremony of the 19th Dubai Airshow.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah made this remark in a press statement released by the Ministry of Defense. On the sidelines of his participation, he met with the UAE Undersecretary of Defense Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Al-Alawi, the Chief of the General Staff of the UAE Armed Forces Lieutenant General Engineer Issa Al-Mazrouei, and several other UAE defense officials. Both sides discussed the latest developments in defense industries, focusing on cutting-edge military technologies and systems displayed at the exhibition.

The Kuwait and UAE officials also explored avenues for cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the two Arabian Gulf countries. Sheikh Dr. Abdullah conveyed greetings from the Minister of Defense, Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Sabah, to the UAE Ministry of Defense leadership, congratulating them on the successful opening ceremony of the Dubai Airshow. He also expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality extended to the Kuwaiti delegation.

Kuwait's ministries of defense and interior, along with the Kuwaiti Civil Aviation Authority, are participating in the event. This participation reflects the depth of bilateral relations and the integration between the aviation sectors of the two countries, as highlighted in the statement. Sheikh Dr. Abdullah and Chairman of the Kuwait Civil Aviation Authority Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Sabah visited the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior's pavilion at the exhibition, where they viewed a police helicopter, underscoring Kuwait's police capabilities and the helicopters' role in enhancing security operations.

The Dubai Airshow 2025, themed "The Future Starts Here," continues until November 21st, featuring wide participation from government and private aviation companies globally. The exhibition hosts more than 1,500 exhibitors, 148,000 visitors, and 490 military and civilian delegations from 115 countries, showcasing the latest technologies in the aviation, space, and defense sectors.
