Kuwait’s Charity Partners with WFP to Support Nursing Mothers in Gaza

Kuwait city: Kuwait's Sheikh Abdullah Al Nouri Charity Society has entered into a cooperation agreement with the World Food Programme to aid nursing mothers in Gaza by providing hot meals and other essential nutritional items.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the society announced that this initiative involves a financial contribution of USD one million aimed at securing nutritious food for the most vulnerable groups in the region.

The chairperson of the society, Jamal Al-Nouri, stated that the agreement reflects their dedication to assisting the Palestinian population, particularly mothers and children enduring severe health challenges due to food scarcity and deteriorating infrastructure in Gaza. In response, the World Food Programme issued a statement expressing gratitude for the Kuwaiti initiative and praised the charity's humanitarian contributions on a global scale.

This partnership marks the first instance of a Kuwaiti charity collaborating with the World Food Programme to provide relief for Palestinians, setting a precedent for future humanitarian efforts.
