Kuwait’s Al-Rashidi and Al-Faihan Secure Top Honors in Trap Shooting Championship

Kuwait City: Kuwaiti shooters Yousef Al-Rashidi and Abdulrahman Al-Faihan have clinched the gold and silver medals, respectively, in the men's individual trap shooting competition at the His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah International Grand Shooting Championship.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the championship, hosted in Kuwait, features around 220 shooters from 18 countries. This recent victory brings Kuwait's total medal tally in the event to three. In the men's individual trap category, Yousef Al-Rashidi emerged victorious with the gold, while his compatriot Abdulrahman Al-Faihan secured the silver, leaving Italy's Fabio Solami to take home the bronze.

In the women's trap shooting event, Italy's Fiammetta Rossi earned the gold medal, with Poland's Sandra Bernal and Italy's Gia Ragazzini securing silver and bronze, respectively. The winners were honored by Sheikh Sabah Bader Al-Sabah, Governor of Mubarak Al-Kabeer, and Championship Chairman Duaij Al-Otaibi, alongside various officials and delegation leaders.

Duaij Al-Otaibi highlighted the achievements of Al-Rashidi and Al-Faihan as a testament to the prowess of Kuwaiti shooters. He acknowledged the high level of competition and the diverse participation from Arab and international shooters. Al-Otaibi also expressed gratitude for His Highness the Amir's sponsorship of the championship, noting its status as a major international event attracting top talent. He thanked Sheikh Sabah Bader Al-Sabah for his support and for honoring the winners.

Al-Rashidi conveyed his joy over this milestone in his career, attributing his success to the club's support and viewing it as motivation for future events. Italian shooter Fiammetta Rossi commended the robust competition and exemplary organization, attributing her win to thorough preparation.
