Kuwait city: The fifth Kuwaiti relief plane took off on Thursday from Abdullah Al-Mubarak Air Base, heading to Jordan's Marka Military Airport with 10 tons of food supplies destined for Gaza. This operation is part of the second Kuwaiti air bridge initiative.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the aid mission is organized by the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) in collaboration with the Ministries of Social Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and Defense, represented by the Kuwaiti Air Force. KRCS Secretary-General Fahad Al-Mandeel emphasized Kuwait's solidarity with Gaza and its commitment to delivering urgent aid to meet essential needs.
Al-Mandeel noted that KRCS is working closely with the Kuwaiti Embassy in Jordan, the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), and the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) to ensure swift and effective aid delivery. He mentioned that the Egyptian Red Crescent Society (ERC) would deliver the first batch of aid via the Karam Abu Salem crossing to PRCS for distribution in Gaza.
Al-Mandeel confirmed that KRCS is actively monitoring Gaza's needs through its humanitarian partners. He thanked the political leadership for its unwavering support of disaster-hit communities and expressed appreciation to the donors of the "Fazza for Gaza" campaign, highlighting the solidarity of Kuwaiti society with humanitarian causes. He stressed that KRCS will continue to be present in all humanitarian crises, recognizing it as a vital responsibility.
