Damascus: The 14th Kuwaiti relief aid plane arrived at Damascus International Airport, transporting 40 tons of food and shelter supplies. This effort was organized by Al-Salam Association for Humanitarian and Charitable Works as a segment of the humanitarian campaign "Kuwait is by Your Side." The ongoing Kuwaiti air bridge to Syria has now reached an estimated total of 400 tons of relief aid. The operation sees participation from several organizations, including the Health Ministry, Zakat House, Kuwait Red Crescent Society, Kuwait Relief, IICO, Islamic Heritage Revival Society, Namaa Charity, Najat Charity, Nouri Charity, Direct Aid, Patient Helping Fund Society, and Global Mercy.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the aid comprises items such as flour, dates, lentils, and other non-perishable foods, alongside blankets, heavy fabrics, gloves, and winter supplies. Also included are wheelchairs for people with disabilities and ambulances to bolster the health sector in Syria.
The Kuwaiti government affirmed its commitment to continue sending relief aid to Syria. This will be managed according to a schedule determined by the Kuwaiti Air Force in collaboration with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent. The latter will ensure the distribution of supplies to the regions most in need.
