London: The fifth Kuwaiti youth event "Your Health Abroad" organized its first marathon at Battersea Park, London, on Saturday. The event, Marathon 2025, was supported by the Public Authority for Sport (PAS) and ran from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. A large number of Kuwaiti male and female students in the United Kingdom participated in the five-kilometer race.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Noura and Nouf Al-Duaij and Ruqaiya Al-Rukhaies led the female racers, while Hassan Abdullah, Abdulrahman Sulaiman, and Faisal Al-Hajraf were at the forefront of the male participants. PAS's Deputy Director General Haya Al-Dahham emphasized PAS's dedication to supporting Kuwaiti students studying abroad and raising public awareness about the significance of sports.
Al-Dahham noted the success of the fifth edition of the youth event both inside and outside Kuwait, expressing hopes for its continuation in the future. Dr. Abdullah Al-Mutawa, the media sponsor of the event, mentioned that the marathon attracted expatriate students and workers from Gulf countries, who expressed their happiness in participating. Previous editions of the youth event were organized in a wooded area near Leeds city.
