Cairo: Kuwait's wide-ranging participation in "Kuwaiti Week" in Egypt signifies robust collaboration between the two nations. The event showcased extensive involvement from several Kuwaiti official bodies, aiming to enhance their presence and strengthen ties in this annual gathering. The focus was primarily on trade, investment, and economic cooperation.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Abulaziz Al-Mousawi, the regional director of Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) in Egypt, expressed satisfaction with the company's participation. He confirmed KUFPEC's commitment to engaging in activities that reflect the solid relationship between Kuwait and Egypt. Al-Mousawi highlighted two ongoing projects in Egypt: Geisum and Tawila West in the Suez Gulf and Al-Mina West, both scheduled for completion in 2026.
Abdullah Al-Salem, head of marketing at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs' Secretariat, stated that their involvement aims to fortify the relationship between the two countries. Al-Salem mentioned that the Secretariat is showcasing specialized publications related to charitable activities within and outside Kuwait.
The event also saw participation from Egypt's Ministries of Military Production and Health, along with various official and private entities. It was held under the patronage of Egypt's Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli. Egypt's Minister of Investment, Hassan Al-Khateeb, and Kuwait's Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdurrahman Al-Mutairi, co-inaugurated the festival. The event was graced by several Arab ambassadors and the Arab League's assistant secretary general for media and communications sector, Ambassador Ahmad Khatabi.
