Kuwaiti Skiers to Final Round of Winter Games Alpine Skiing

Harbin: Kuwaiti national ski team athletes Faris Al-Obaid and Abdulrahman Al-Wuhaibi qualified on Sunday for the second and final round of Alpine Skiing-Slalom at the Ninth Asian Winter Games (Harbin 2025).

According to Kuwait News Agency, the two athletes successfully completed the slalom race, held in the Yabuli Mountains, finishing both the first and second rounds. Their achievement will earn them points to improve their international ranking.

In statements to the Kuwaiti media team, head of the delegation Fuhaid Al-Ajmi praised the performance of Al-Wuhaibi and Al-Obaid. He added that their strong performance qualifies them to achieve higher rankings in upcoming international competitions.

Al-Wuhaibi expressed his pride in reaching the final round alongside Al-Obaid in competing against Asia's best players during their first-ever participation in such a major continental sporting event. He described it as a significant achievement for Kuwaiti winter sports.

Al-Obaid highlighted the support provided by the Kuwait Winter Sports Club in meeting all the team's needs, which played a crucial role in their strong performance.
