Kuwait: Kuwaiti shooter Fehaid Al-Daihani has achieved a significant victory by winning the gold medal in the double trap competition at the 2010 Malta-hosted International Trap Grand Prix. Al-Daihani showcased exceptional skills by hitting 194 targets out of 200, securing his place at the top of the competition.

In 1939, Almubarakiya Schools presented an artistic show about the Muslim Caliph Omar bin Al-Khattab, attended by the Amir Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Fast forward to 1999, Kuwait Petroleum International expanded its influence by purchasing 250 fuel stations from the German energy company AG in Belgium.

In 2015, Kuwait’s efforts in achieving the millennium goals in the food security sector were recognized by the World Food Programme, further enhancing its global reputation. The following years saw Kuwait’s diplomatic engagements, notably in 2017 when the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah visited the UAE and Qatar to mediate in the “Gulf crisis.”

In 2020, Kuwaiti photographer Talal Al-Rabah won the prestigious Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashed Al-Maktoum International Photography Award for his captivating black-and-white image, “King of the North,” featuring a polar bear on an iceberg. Most recently, in 2024, the nation mourned the passing of Abdulwahab Alnafisi, a former minister of commerce and industry, remembered for his pivotal role in establishing the Kuwait stock market in 1977.
