Security personnel have aborted a bid to smuggle 250,000 amphetamine captagon pills by land into Kuwait, the Ministry of Interior announced on Friday.
The smuggler concealed the drugs in his vehicle and attempted to smuggle them into the country by land, but his attempt ended in failure when personnel of the directorate general department for combating drugs uncovered the concealed narcotics, the MoI said in a statement.
The smuggler and the confiscated drugs have been referred to the relevant authorities for legal action, the MoI statement said.
The MoI called on all people to cooperate with the security authorities and report about any such illegal action by calling the phone number 112 and the directorate at 1884141
