Kuwait city: Kuwaiti athlete Abdulrahman Al-Babtain of Kuwait Sea Sport Club won second place and the silver medal in the 25-kilometer surfski endurance race at the '25 Asian Kayak Cup, held in Hong Kong. According to Kuwait News Agency, Kayak supervisor at the club Mohammad Al-Awadhi stated that the race was highly competitive, lasting two hours and 20 minutes, drawing strong public turnout and wide media coverage. The championship commenced on November 18, featuring teams from Hong Kong, Macau, India, China, Japan, Thailand, Chinese Taipei, Singapore, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, and Kuwait. Winners were crowned after the final events in the presence of International Canoe Federation President Thomas Konietzko, Al-Awadhi mentioned. He commended Al-Babtain for raising Kuwait's flag and noted that the result adds to Kuwait's achievements in kayaking, supported by the Public Authority for Sport and the club's board.
