Kuwait city: Justice Minister Nasser Al-Sumait announced that the Ministry of Justice is on the brink of a significant digital transformation intended to enhance efficiency and accessibility of judicial services. The transformation is aimed at reducing bureaucracy and expediting casework for both citizens and residents.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Sumait, during a tour of the new Palace of Justice, stated that enabling legislation is nearing completion, which will facilitate the transition of all ministry services to an online platform. Technology giants Google and Microsoft have been enlisted to develop the necessary infrastructure. This initiative will introduce electronic filing, notifications, and fee payments, while also reforming court processes to address longstanding backlogs.
Al-Sumait further explained the importance of a new digital platform designed to enforce judgments as soon as they are issued. During his visit, accompanied by senior officials, the minister aimed to identify and solve any issues affecting litigants and court staff.
He emphasized his commitment to conducting regular inspections to ensure the reforms proceed smoothly, aligning with His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's directive to achieve faster and more accessible justice.
