Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister Engages in Security Talks with Interpol President


Kuwait city: Visiting Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah engaged in discussions with Interpol President Major General Ahmad Nasser Al-Raisi on topics of mutual interest within the security sector. The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation and address shared challenges in international security.



According to Kuwait News Agency, the State of Kuwait has highlighted digital diplomacy as a crucial component of its foreign policy, focusing on enhancing international cooperation and dialogue. This strategic emphasis underscores Kuwait’s commitment to leveraging digital platforms to foster global partnerships and resolve international issues.



In Washington, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced that the United States will establish a facility for the Qatari Air Force. This installation will serve as a training ground for Qatari airmen on F-15 fighter jets, marking a significant development in US-Qatar military relations.



Meanwhile, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held discussions with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres regarding the latest advancements in the peace agreement concerning the Gaza Strip. This dialogue is part of ongoing efforts to achieve stability in the region.



In Brussels, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas expressed the European Union’s support for the initial phase of the Comprehensive Plan aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza. This endorsement reflects the EU’s commitment to facilitating peace and security in the region.



In another development, the US Trump administration has begun the process of laying off federal employees as the government shutdown extends into its tenth day. This action highlights the ongoing challenges and impacts of the prolonged shutdown on federal operations.
