Kuwait city: The Ambassador of the UAE to the State of Kuwait, Dr. Matar Al-Neyadi, announced that Kuwaiti-Emirati ties are poised for expansion, marked by enhanced cooperation and sustainable partnerships.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Ambassador Al-Neyadi highlighted during a press statement for the 54th UAE National Day, that this year saw the signing of 16 new accords across different sectors, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations. The ambassador reported that non-oil trade between the two nations reached USD seven billion in the first half of 2025, reflecting a 15 percent increase compared to the same period the previous year.
He further noted that the non-oil trade for the last nine months experienced a growth of USD 10 billion, an increase of 7.6 percent from the previous year. Ambassador Al-Neyadi emphasized Kuwait's significance as a key commercial partner for the UAE, noting that 20 percent of Kuwait's non-oil exports are destined for the UAE.
Looking ahead, Ambassador Al-Neyadi predicted a continued rise in exports, underlining the robust nature of the relationship between the two countries. He also mentioned the recent announcement by UAE leadership to celebrate decades of diplomatic ties on January 29, further underscoring the strength of the bilateral relationship.
Ambassador Al-Neyadi stated that this year's UAE National Day celebrations would focus on honoring the founding of the nation and recognizing ongoing achievements in politics, the economy, technology, and renewable energy.
