Kuwaiti Embassy in Cairo Emphasizes Shared Destiny in Kuwait-Egypt Relations

Cairo: The Kuwaiti Embassy in Cairo has highlighted the profound connections between Kuwait and Egypt, emphasizing a shared destiny that has been tested through various challenges, including wars. Kuwaiti Embassy Counselor Nawaf Al-Rujaib expressed these sentiments during a visit with a delegation to the Suez War Memorial Cemetery, which marked the 52nd anniversary of the October 1973 victories.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the visit was an occasion to honor the sacrifices of soldiers, acknowledging the bloodshed by Arabs in defense of rights and sovereignty. Al-Rujaib pointed out Kuwait's substantial military and economic contributions and paid tribute to the Kuwaiti Army martyrs who fought on the Egyptian front. He reiterated Kuwait's support and solidarity with Arab states and its unwavering commitment to Arab causes and crisis responses.

Al-Rujaib also praised Egypt for its regional and international role in promoting security and stability, as well as its maintenance of the graves of Arab martyrs. The visit included honors with a military band performing the martyr's anthem and the recitation of Al-Fatiha, a prayer verse, at the graves of Kuwait's fallen soldiers.

The embassy delegation was welcomed by Third Army Chief of Staff Major General Adel Al-Ghuwaid and included Deputy Military Attache Brigadier General Ayedh Al-Helfy.
