Kuwaiti Delegation Visits Saudi Arabia to Strengthen Humanitarian and Charity Initiatives

Riyadh: A Kuwaiti delegation from the Committee for Regulating Humanitarian and Charity Work visited Saudi Arabia, commissioned by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah. Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and head of the delegation, told KUNA that the visit is part of Kuwait's efforts to develop its charitable work system and strengthen regional partnerships to enhance the effectiveness, governance, and transparency of humanitarian and charity initiatives, aligning them with international standards.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Kuwaiti delegation studied advanced practices at the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and the National Center for the Development of the Non-Profit Sector (NCNP), including governance systems, oversight frameworks, and transparency mechanisms that contribute to global trust.

Meetings were also held with senior Saudi officials, fostering the exchange of expertise and exploring collaboration opportunities in the non-profit and humanitarian sectors. Discussions focused on building sustainable models that empower public benefit associations, enhance their contributions to national development, and deliver tangible social impact.

Dr. Al-Ajmi highlighted that the visit is part of ongoing initiatives led by Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef to promote transparency, boost performance efficiency, and align Kuwait's humanitarian efforts with international standards, preserving its esteemed position in global humanitarian work.

Dr. Al-Ajmi thanked the leadership and staff of the King Salman Center and the NCNP for their warm reception, hospitality, and dedication to making the visit a success, expressing hope that this will mark the beginning of fruitful partnerships to serve noble humanitarian causes and enhance GCC cooperation in this vital field.
