Kuwaiti Citizen and 130 “Sumud Flotilla” Activists Released in Jordan

Kuwait city: A Kuwaiti citizen and 130 nationals from various countries who took part in the foiled maritime mission to relieve Gaza, the Sumud Flotilla, have arrived in Jordan via King Hussein bridge, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry declared on Tuesday. According to Kuwait News Agency, the ministry spokesperson Fuad Al-Majali stated in a press release that the released activists included a Jordanian female and citizens from Kuwait, Bahrain, Tunisia, Algeria, Oman, Libya, Pakistan, Turkiye, Argentina, South Africa, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Uruguay. He mentioned that the ministry, in collaboration with other authorities, facilitated their transport to Jordan and provided them with assistance. Al-Majali also noted that his department coordinated with the embassies of the freed activists' countries to ensure their return home. Kuwait had announced on October 4 that two citizens involved in the humanitarian sea mission were among those freed.
