Kuwait city: The Kuwaiti Cabinet on Tuesday reviewed the preparations for hosting the French Super Cup between Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille, scheduled for Thursday at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium. This announcement was made during the weekly Cabinet meeting led by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah at Bayan Palace, as stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Shereeda Al-Mousherji.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Minister of Information and Culture, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi informed the cabinet about the preparations, emphasizing the dedication of all bodies to ensure the event's success and to highlight Kuwait's cultural image. Al-Mutairi mentioned that the Ministry of Information has arranged comprehensive media coverage for this sports event.
Additionally, Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Al-Ajeel informed the Cabinet about a field visit he conducted with Minister of Public Works Nora Al-Mashaan, and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Abdulatif Al-Mashari. The visit was focused on reorganizing mobile food truck areas, covering approximately 5,000 square meters, to enhance service quality and business sustainability. Al-Ajeel explained that the ministry intends to improve control over these mobile trucks by enforcing regulations and supporting compliant entrepreneurs.
Al-Ajeel also reported the cancellation of over 1,100 licenses for mobile trucks that were inactive or did not meet necessary standards. Furthermore, the cabinet was briefed on the participation of Minister Al-Ajeel, along with Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, and Acting Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment Sabeeh Al-Mukhaizeem, in the 56th global economic forum from January 19-23. The forum will include sessions and workshops aimed at enhancing international cooperation to address various global challenges.
