Kuwait: The Kuwaiti Cabinet has approved a draft decree-law aimed at combating terrorism crimes. This legislative move is part of a broader national strategy designed to overhaul the legislative system in Kuwait.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Cabinet also extended a welcome to US President Donald Trump's invitation to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The invitation pertains to contributing to international efforts associated with the Board of Peace.
In other developments, Kuwait's trap shooting team secured a gold medal in the men's trap shooting finals at the Asian Championship held in Qatar, with the competition running until January 21. Meanwhile, in Amman, US Ambassador to Turkiye and Special Envoy for Syria Thomas Barrack remarked that the new government under President Ahmed al-Sharaa presents the greatest opportunity for the Kurds in Syria.
