Kuwaiti and Saudi Officials Sign Cooperation Deals Across Multiple Sectors

Kuwait city: The Kuwait-Saudi committee on coordination of cultural, information, media, and social development affairs recently concluded its third session with the signing of several initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two nations. The session was co-chaired by Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information Dr. Nasser Mheisen and Saudi Assistant Minister of Media Dr. Abdullah Al-Maghlouth.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the committee, part of the Kuwaiti-Saudi Coordination Council, serves as an essential platform for advancing strategic partnerships. During the meeting, discussions led to the signing of joint initiatives in various fields, including culture, media, tourism, health, sports, scientific research, and social development.

Dr. Mheisen highlighted that these agreements demonstrate the strong historical ties between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, as well as the leaders' commitment to achieving strategic development goals. He expressed hope for the launch of joint media, cultural, and tourist projects in the near future, aiming to adapt to digital transformations and promote the countries' natural and cultural resources.

The committee also reaffirmed its support for initiatives related to youth, sports, and social development, emphasizing the importance of academic and scientific cooperation. The Kuwaiti side of the committee includes representatives from various ministries and organizations, such as the Public Authority for Sport and the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature. The Saudi side comprises representatives from ministries and entities like the General Authority of Media Regulation and the Saudi Broadcasting Authority.
