Kuwaiti 1st Deputy PM Engages in Security Talks with Egyptian Interior Minister

Kuwait City: Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister, and Interior Minister, Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, engaged in discussions with the Egyptian Minister of Interior, Major General Mahmoud Qandil, focusing on issues of common interest and enhancing security cooperation.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the talks took place during Sheikh Fahad Al-Yusuf's official visit to Egypt, accompanied by his delegation. The discussions highlighted the strong and historic ties between Kuwait and Egypt, with an emphasis on improving cooperation in various sectors, particularly in security.

The statement from Kuwait's Ministry of Interior mentioned that Sheikh Fahad also had a meeting with Major General Hassan Rashad, Director of the General Intelligence Service. The meeting centered around security cooperation, mechanisms for information sharing, and the exchange of expertise to tackle challenges and enhance stability in both countries.

Sheikh Fahad Al-Yusuf acknowledged the significant role of Egyptian security institutions in supporting regional stability, reinforcing the importance of collaborative efforts between the two nations.
