Kuwait Welcomes 2nd Phase of Gaza Ceasefire Agreement

Kuwait city: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday expressed support for the announced launch of the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement. The ministry views this development as a significant step toward stabilizing the region and addressing the worsening humanitarian conditions in Gaza.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the ministry also acknowledged the establishment of a temporary national Palestinian committee in Gaza, which aligns with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803. The ministry praised U.S. President Donald Trump's involvement in reaching the Gaza ceasefire agreement and forming the Board of Peace in Gaza. It also recognized the contributions of Qatar, Egypt, and Turkiye in facilitating this process.

Kuwait's Foreign Ministry reiterated the nation's steadfast commitment to the Palestinian cause, emphasizing its continuous political and humanitarian support. The ministry reaffirmed its dedication to the Palestinian people's quest for full legitimate rights and the aspiration to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
